Perfect in every way. (apart from the wind)
What can I say. The house was lovely, very beautiful views from the property. Everything in the house has been looked after really well. Very good directions. The one thing we were not ready for was the weather, the wind was unbelievable. We hope to return in the summer to sample Skye again. An amazing property on an amazing island.

Oran Na Mara, is the beautiful house that we stayed in at after being in the UK/Europe for the past 8 years. It is such a comfortable house with lovely views. The surrounding area has some great walks and if the weather is not so kind, staying inside is equally as pleasurable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property/location.

Perfect house
Loved our long weekend here. We were spoiled with lots of sunshine which made for incredible views. The owners had thought of everything so didn’t need to use any of my bring just in case bag of kitchen stuff. Skye is amazing and really loved this location - only 25 mins from Portree, 15 mins to Dunvegan so an ideal. Thanks again!

We loved our stay at Oran Na Mara. Lovely peaceful location with huge floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the changing views. Very clean with luxurious towels and bed linen. The kitchen was well-equipped and we had a cosy fire on a couple of nights. Communication was great with hosts, and we found Skye welcoming and quiet.

We loved our stay at this property. The views & sunsets were out of this world. Property itself had fantastic views from every window. Great facilities & fittings. So close to incredible walks and nature. We would happily have stayed longer and would love to return.

Honeymoon Get away
Me and my husband booked this for our honeymoon as we’ve always wanted to visit Skye, and this accommodation did not disappoint. Absolutely beautiful inside and the views from open plan living space were just fantastic. It is immaculately furnished and so clean. Location wise, we loved it as the Loch Bay restaurant and Stein inn were very close by and not far to drive to Dunvegan Castle and Portree for a little look around. we’ll definitely be booking again.

A home away from home
We had an absolutely wonderful time renting this gorgeous property. It was one of the most well-stocked rental homes we have ever stayed in, including towels, cleaning products, and even lovely bathing products in the bathrooms. The views were stunning and on a clear night you can stand on the decking outside and enjoy hundreds of beautiful stars. The experience with the rental manager was also excellent. Very high quality service and every request promptly responded to. They even had a bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival. Great experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a really comfortable and quality stay on the Isle of Skye.

Such a fantastic house in a stunning location. I chose High Croft for the weekend that I proposed to my girlfriend, and it couldn't have been a more perfect place for a very special occasion. The house is furnished beautifully, finished to a very high standard, and has breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Ben also went out of his way to help me make some additional preparations for my proposal, and was friendly and responsive whenever I got in touch. Just a fantastic experience in a breathtaking place - I can't recommend it highly enough!

It would be hard to beat the views from this remote section of Skye. Morning, noon and night it was beautiful to look out from any window in the house. They even have a mirror next to the dining room table so that the person who has to sit with his/her back to the view can still see out in the mirror's reflection. :) This new house was built with the traveler in mind. It had everything we needed. 3 bedrooms all with attaching baths was a nice touch coming from many places with only bathroom. Spotless and well stocked. The wine bottle was a nice touch after a dark ride up the single track the night we arrived. The first night we ate at the Stein Inn, a great local experience. he second night we splurged at Three Chimneys - enjoyed them both. We would definitely return and recommend this spot!

A wonderful location with a view over Dunvegan bay. The weather was wild at times but you would never have known from within the residence. It was so calm and quiet we had such a relaxing trip. We stayed in March for two nights and could have stayed for a week. The house was spotless and is designed/decorated very nicely. The views are spectacular and the beds are comfortable. It is located on the Waternish Peninsula and is just a few minutes drive to Loch Bay Restaurant and the Stein Inn Pub, and is under an hours drive from many of the natural attractions on Skye and the Talisker Distillery. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and hope to return in the future!

Hosts went above and beyond to help us out during a power fault, making our stay just as smooth as if it had never happened. Wood fire was amazing and having an en-suite per room really made the stay that much more comfortable for everyone.

If you want a stylish, modern and well equipped place to stay which is in the middle of nowhere then this is where you need to go. The property is really clean and tidy, well equipped and very comfortable. There are lots of little touches which make it stand out above other places to stay. I agree it may not be the cheapest but you really do get what you pay for! The host will be in contact with you to help with any questions and is very quick with their response. All I can say is, I hope you get at least one evening there with a beautiful sunset and you'll then understand why I would definitely recommend this place!

The only thing that stopped us giving 5 stars is that there is a loud noise/vibration in the downstairs bedroom. We understand this is being rectified later in the year but would check with owner beforehand and bring good earplugs!

Beautiful house, modern facilities. This is a great getaway. By the way, thought the design, though modern, blended into traditional architecture of surrounding homes. We brought in food and cooked several meals including using grill. Good kitchen. Very nice to have ice available too. We could hike right from the door to the Waternish peninsula lighthouse (11 mile round trip). Nearby Stein Inn for a meal was local gem.

I gave 4 stars because we found bread crumbs behind the toaster. Also even though dinner dishes were clean it had some kind of a smell and we had to clean it again. Except for that I will give 5 stars for cleanliness of other area The bathroom sinks in 3 of the bathrooms were too small to wash your face or clean your mouth after brushing the teeth. Also the shower was too feeble without much force. We stayed in a 2 previous air b & b places which were much cheaper but with similar facilities and very strong shower jets. I am pretty sure when owner has built such a wonderful house and spent money it won’t be too much to install a better shower in the bathroom.

This house is absolutely stunning. The living space is built so well for watching the change in weather and beautiful scenery across the bay. The rooms are cosy and comfortable and each with an en suite! Check in was via a key safe which suited us well as we arrived late, but we did meet one of the Skye Serviced team who came to sort a WiFi issue and she was really helpful (sorry I can’t remember your name!) We had a really lovely time here and are already considering coming back for a weekend in summer. Thanks again!

While this house and the view are absolutely beautiful we were very disappointed with our stay. We had let the hosts know we would be travelling with a 12 week old baby and they did not alert us to the fact that this house had major issues. The house gets extremely hot during the day (30 degrees celcius) and the only way to cool it down is to open all the doors and windows. Skye is very windy and rainy so you are having to open everything at night during a storm just to cool down the house to a liveable temperature- IMPOSSIBLE. We called the hosts who then told us they were going to send four people to the house which felt intimidating after they dismissed our claims that the boiler was broken, then they promised to send a technician out the next day and they didn’t, they also said that because they gave us a discount we had to deal with it, finally the next day they came by to check it out and said there was nothing they could do. To their credit they did find a replacement home for us but it was far less superior and we were leaving in 12hrs so we didn’t do it. They ended up giving us three small fans to use in the bedroom as our allergies were too bad to leave the windows open plus it wasn’t safe for the baby. Also while the kitchen looks nice, it’s impossible to cook in due to the exhaust fan not working and the proximity of the smoke detectors. The water is also the colour of rust and needed to be cleaned and flushed before arrival. In addition, the address they provide is not correct at all and they blamed it on Airbnb but we have never had an issue with any other Airbnb in this regard. They also claimed the correct address was in an email welcome pack but it never arrived and the iPad in the house with all the information on running the house did not work. For the price of this rental we were expecting a lot more and were really disappointed.

We had a truly lovely stay here. The views are outstanding from every angle. The house is absolutely immaculate and really smart. Had a pleasant walk down to Carnach but most places only accessible by car obviously. The Dunvegan is a nice cafe where we had lunch and delicious takeaway cakes. Could not getting a booking at Loch Bay or Stein Inn - we should have booked well in advance. Claigan Beach was an absolute gem. You must go there. Parking was a little tricky but we were just patient and got a space. We had AMAZING weather but we are sure the house would be very cosy in ‘normal’ Skye weather!! Prepare ahead with food/wine etc which we did fortunately. The only downside for me personally was that the sea was too inaccessible with the rocks for a quick dip but we did swim at Claigan which kept this annoying wild swimmer happy!!!😂🦭 We loved our stay and would recommend it to our friends!! Thank you 💙

Such a beautiful house in a breathtaking area! The house itself is warm and welcoming sitting on top of a hill where you see the most stunning of views. The weather was not kind, windy and rainy but it certainly didn’t dampen our spirits when we opened the door and was greeted with such a fabulous house. From the beautiful well equipped kitchen and dining room to the glorious living area with comfy seating and a wonderful log burner which was well used during our stay. The house is warm and comfy with all mod cons, a fantastic TV set up, underfloor hearing and excellent kitchen and all the utensils you could wish for. Simply a home from home. The beds are comfortable and the showers modern and warm. We had a bit of car trouble on our last evening and were unsure the mechanic would get to us by our check out time . I contacted Ben and he put our minds to rest that we could stay until it was resolved. Absolutely fantastic customer service! We made it out slightly later than advertised but the fact it was no trouble made it all the more easier, so thank you for that. It was much appreciated. Book this house, you will love every second of it! We certainly did!!! We all had a glorious break away and will certainly be back in the future xx

Me and my husband booked this for our honeymoon as we’ve always wanted to visit Skye, and this accommodation did not disappoint. Absolutely beautiful inside and the views from open plan living space were just fantastic. It is immaculately furnished and so clean. Location wise, we loved it as the Loch Bay restaurant and Stein inn were very close by and not far to drive to Dunvegan Castle and Portree for a little look around. we’ll definitely be booking again.

Positive: The views were amazing, even better than the pictures. The property is well taken care of, and deserves the high amount they require. We had an infant and we were surprised they have a cot! Despite claiming otherwise. Made our stay much, much better. There are fans for a hot day, and a log burner for a cold day (otherwise use the heating). Kitchen was fully equipped. I would highly recommend it. Negative: Staff were using copy paste messages to address my concerns. WiFi is a bit slow. The way there is a tad dangerous in a rainy, windy day. But the pros outway the cons by a great amount.

It is difficult to put in to words how fabulous this house was, it felt like home. On arrival the external appearance fills you with confidence that inside is going to be good. It does not prepare you for how good it is going to be. The facilities and specification in this home is high and is well thought out, The detail in planning of layout of each room and it’s use is really impressive. The views are wonderful and fill your heart and feed your soul. Everything is just so easy to use and the standards of cleanliness was really remarkable. The seating just invited you to relax and the beds assured great night sleep. The tablet which provided information of the house, surrounding areas, where to eat and paces to visit was genius idea. Does away with those horrid folders crammed with leaflets you don’t want to touch. We had dreadful weather and this house just welcomed you home. I have been holidaying for many years in the UK and many many times in Skye; this house is the best I have experienced. It really is special. One word, outstanding

My family absolutely loved our stay in this fabulous home! There are windows everywhere to give you the most amazing views in every direction! The space was spotless, thoughtfully furnished, and very comfortable. The wood burner was a treat since most of our days were on the gray, cold, and wet side, but the house is so well insulated that you really don't need it for warmth. The beds were comfortable, and I loved the window seat in the master bedroom! We stayed four nights but would gladly have stayed longer if we could! The only thing to beware of when travelling around the Isle of Skye are the potholes--they are no joke! So drive carefully! We hope to come back in the summertime!

We have stayed a quite a few properties on the island over the years and we found this property to be well appointed with comfortable clean furnishings and everything you’d need for a relaxing stay. Good beds and showers. The location is one of the prettiest and most peaceful on the island. Would recommend both the Stein Inn and Loch Bay (must be booked in advance) and if you want to travel further afield to eat then also the Edinbane Lodge, Cafe. Cuil, Slicachan Hotel and the Oyster Shed. Talisker’s new visitor center is worth a visit . For a great low level hikes Glenbrittle path from Sligachan, Bonnie Prince Charlie’s cave from Elgol and The Viking Boatyard from Glenbrittle. We would have no hesitation recommending a stay at Oran na Mara. Enjoy!

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying in this gorgeous property. It s exactly as it appears in the photos on the website and is the most well-stocked rental home we have ever stayed in, including towels, cleaning products and even lovely scented bath products. Our experience with the rental manager was also excellent- very high quality service and responsive to every request. We asked for a barbecue and they not only ensured one was provided they also provided the materials to light it. They even had a bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants quality and comfort for their stay on the Isle of Skye.

Loved this house. What a lovely property as tidy as tidy could be. Lovely inside and out. Triple pane windows and architecture made the house nearly silent. New, fresh, modern but with a stunning view of the ancient coast and islands. Would stay again for a moth. Property manager/owner was very responsive before and during the stay, This is a premium property and a very quiet corner for the Island. Cannot say enough good things about this place.
