What a little gem of a place with amazing views of the harbour and bay of Portree. Property was very clean with nice finishes and had all the items you would expect from a services accommodation. Communication by the lettings team was great and very responsive. Wil definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Ideal for groups!
Just returned from Skye and stayed with friends at Skye Bay. We knew the house would be right up our street by the pictures - modern, spacious etc. But we were so surprised by the finish inside. It had everything you could need and lots of modern features that we loved! Ceiling speakers, a great oven and enough showers for a larger group of people - saves time in the morning. The house has enough space for everyone and was really relaxing. We are really into cooking and all utensils etc were provided which was great. Also the decking at the front is amazing to catch the views over the coast with a drink. The house is in a residential area but the main high street is just a couple of mins walk down the hill. On the last night we walked to the Cuillin Hills Hotel for dinner which is about a 15min walk from the house and I would highly recommend - some of the best food we had in Skye! We loved our visit to Skye Bay and already want to book again!

Amazing amazing trip! Never been to Skye before and wow it did not disappoint. The house is gorgeous and perfect for a group of friends. The speakers in the roof were an amazing addition. The location and kitchen/lounge area were lovely and a great place for a family to socialise. The beds were comfortable and it was great to have 4 bathrooms. Our main criticism would be that there was not enough hanging space for clothes nor coat hooks near the main entrance. The view was wonderful and the weather was great! Many thanks

Very spacious 4 bedroom house. Large kitchen & dining lounge. Coped with 8 adults easy. Decking area with bay view. I would recommend the cottage for 6 - 8 people. Great location for Shops. Bars & restaurants. For improvements Large master room with seaviews and a bath. There could be a shower in the room also. No door to the toilet area. No privacy when needed. The twin room downstairs needs new mattresses. As couples 4 double beds would have been good or an option to join single beds together. Well equipped kitchen utensils But No frying pan. Hedges to front door entrance need trimmed back.

What a wonderful place to be, setting is perfect and a short walk in to Portree with many great restaurants and bars to sample. One point to not is that the bedrooms lack storage or hanging space but apart from the this is a fantastic holiday let.

Exceptional!
We spent two nights at Skye Bay at the end of September and didn't want to leave!! The house has plenty of space, it's been decorated in a lovely way and the location is perfect. The kitchen is fab (everything is super high spec) and the view from it is awesome. Shout out to the team who run this, for being so great and quick on communication. I'd absolutely stay here again!

We simply loved our stay here. Lots of space for the kids to play about, easy access to all major tourist attractions nearby and the service levels are superb. Ben was very responsive and looked after us well. Highly recommend!

Excellent home in a great location
We really enjoyed staying at this home. It was well equipped and clean. The location is great with a beautiful view and just a few minute walk to the center of town. We felt very comfortable staying here and will definitely try to do so again the next time we visit Portree.

Enjoyable stay at Skye Bay
Lovely place to start and explore Isle of Skye. Fast and good communnication with our host plus a lot of detailed Information regarding the Isle and Portree. Eveything was clean, the kitchen is huge and has all that was needed for a big breakfast and dinner. The cozy Living room makes the stay much more enjoyable during a rain shower. The great view over the Port was memorable. We would recommend the stay and come again.

This small attached house was quiet and had a great location within an easy walk to downtown Portree. The beds were comfortable. Two bedrooms have queen sized beds, one is a double and the other has twin beds. I've marked it as excellent for the cleanliness, location and ease of check-in/out. It is simple and cozy.

This property was filled with comfy and modern furniture. The views are stunning and the beds were super comfy. Every room had a bathroom either in it or next to it. We loved the cozy fireplace, cool amenities (including hooking up our phone to the speakers in the house) and the thoughtfulness of the hosts! We would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Portree.

Fantastic stay! Beautiful house in amazing location. Spectacular view outside the patio, and less than 10 minute walk to anywhere in Portree for dinner. Great place to stay while exploring the Isle of Skye. Host left great instructions and even had videos on how to operate things in the house. Was also responsive with questions while we were there. Definitely wanted to make sure we had an excellent stay, which we did!

The location of the house is perfect. It's a quick walk downhill to the main square in Portree with bars, restaurants, and a co-op for groceries. The view from the master bedroom is incredible - as well as the bath. Showers in the rest of the house were also great. We appreciated the TV & speaker setup - can't miss Game of Thrones, even on holiday. The kitchen was very well equipped for group meals, and parking was possible with 4 cars. Overall, very happy!

The house in Portree was well located; Very close to the center of town, yet still in a quiet spot away from the major roads/traffic. Really loved the decor of the place, especially the artwork. Also liked the use of the tablet for check in/out and for instructions; I found that really useful. Overall, the house was comfortable, and my family and I had a pretty great stay while we were on Skye (I do wish we could have stayed longer).

Fabulous stay, beautiful house, awesome view from the decking and the main bedroom, plenty of space for a group of friends or large family group. Just a short walk to Portree with private, off road parking. Communication was easy and nothing was too much trouble. Dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer made it a super efficient and relaxing stay.

This is the perfect place to stay at Portree!! From check-in to location to cleanliness.....everything is just great!!!! There is this fantastic view right in front of the house. Kitchen is filled up with all you need to prepare a meal. Love the fireplace and that is the best thing after a long day walk out where we all chilled with our wine and music. would definitely book this place again if we visit Portree next time.

We had an amazing and relaxing time here. We were a group of 4. Views are amazing especially in the morning (both from 2nd floor room and also the balcony). Own parking space. We arrived past 5pm so it's so dark already. While there's street lights, we found it a bit difficult to see the the house number and that's about it. Everything else is 5 star! Walking distance to restaurants, convenience store and the bay. Be aware that on Sundays most restaurants are closed. All rooms are clean and so aesthetic! Highly recommend this place.

Lovely place to start and explore the Isle of Skye. Quick and good communication with our host and lots of detailed information about the Isle and Portree. Everything was clean, the kitchen is huge and has everything needed for a great breakfast and dinner. The cosy living room makes staying in during a rain shower much more enjoyable. The great view over the harbour was unforgettable. We would recommend the stay and come back again.

We really enjoyed our stay. Amazing view, comfortable and well-appointed accommodations, a friendly, helpful, and super-responsive host. Just a great experience all around. We were happy to be out of the busiest area during the busiest month and enjoyed our short walks in and out of town. We were glad that we had booked all of our dining reservations months ago, but could easily have put a meal together and enjoyed it on the deck with that great view, kitchen was perfectly outfitted! Great all around, thank you!

Positive: Convenient location for a short walk into Portree. Pleasant view across the bay. Spacious and well equipped. Negative: The external condition of the property is not great; the decking and main entrance door feel a bit tatty and the gardens are not very well kept. Whilst the location is close to the town centre and there is a nice view across the water, the immediate environment of the property is not that great with a fire station immediately opposite. Whilst clean, our bathroom floor vinyl tiles were peeling and unsightly. The en-suite bathroom has no door from the bedroom. The double beds are standard doubles so cramped compared with what we're used to. The property had the feel of having had a cheap and cheerful internal makeover and the overall finish and quality was well below the other two properties we stayed at on our Highland trip.

Enjoyable stay at the skye bay, we will always remember the great view from the property
Positive: Sky bay is a very spacious and well appointed property. We really enjoyed the view of the bay from the main bedroom in the morning especially when the sun was shining. The veranda was equally great for breakfast with a view or having a sundowner. There was more space than we needed for a family of four and we had our choice of bedrooms. The beds was very comfortable and the bathrooms were very modern and clean. Generally the finishing's and furnishings were all good quality and the kitchen facilities were great. Negative: The first thing we noticed on entering the property was a very strong smell of cat pee - mainly under and around the stairs. It started to reduce after we aired the property but was still evident, and spoiled the enjoyment of the property a little. The only other slight annoyance was the wifi which didn't seem to work despite various efforts to connect. However I decided not to contact the host about it as it meant I could keep the kids off their devices, which made for some better family time!! Oh Yes the sky box is very slow and doesnt like to obey instructions. This may be due to the fact that it is in the cupboard which didnt help it receive signals from the controller. I have the same sky box myself and do not experience these troubles at home so maybe one to thing to consider relocating. Admit Im being quite picky here as we really enjoyed this comfortable property and these are suggestions for improvements rather than major criticisms

Positive: The view was lovely, and we were very comfortable there. The cottage is well designed and well equipped. Negative: The wifi worked but the internet connection was really poor for most of our week - I don't think the owners could have done anything about that though. There were also no baking trays in the kitchen (I bought a couple so that we could have pizza and I could make scones!).

Positive: The location, the property and the ease with which we managed to get there. The instructions provided by the hosts were very detailed and clear. We loved every minute of our stay there. The apartment was well maintained and clean. They hosts gave us complimentary wine which was a very nice surprise. The kitchen was complete with working and clean appliances and cookware. Very thoughtfully designed. Negative: The water pressure in the showers was very low. We couldnt use the shower in the bathroom downstairs due to the lack of water pressure from the showerheads.

Positive: The house has beautiful views. Its open plan living & dining was great for a family of all ages meaning you can all be together whilst going different things. Portree is a friendly little village. All in all (and despite the weather) a great time was had by all. Negative: We had a few small issues with the property but the host couldn't have been more helpful and acted very quickly to resolve the issues.

Positive: Great house conversion to large dining/sitting room ideal for large holiday group. Quiet and fantastic view of Portree bay and only 2 minutes walk into shopping/pub area. Negative: Style over substance. Bedrooms have no wardrobe and some have no furniture with drawers either so you will live out of a suitcase. Almost no storage in kitchen either would be a problem if stay more than a few days. Bath in bedroom looks flash but no shower attachment and plug doesn't hold water! No instructions at property or in email for oven, extractor fan, condenser dyer, wood stove and ceiling speakers. Oven and extractor are techy. They work very well - fantastic induction hob - but you will spend 15mins figuring out how to turn them on. Dryer also good but be aware it will switch off when water container full. Fridge also great but, as condenser dryer, it is not plumbed in so you will need to refill water reservoir by hand. Wood stove instructions are for an entirely different stove. Despite having a wood stove at home we couldn't keep this one alight for more than 15 mins. Luckily we were not visiting in winter. Ceiling speakers are touted as "my favourite part" but again no instructions and no remote control so didn't work.

We loved it. We are a family of five. The location was wonderful with water views. It's just a few minute walk to the main part of Portree. We had plenty of space for the five of us. Having a parking space was quite helpful. It was well kept, well stocked, and clean. The neighborhood was quiet, and watching the sun rise over the mountain and the sea, just beautiful. It's right next to the fire station, but we never heard a siren or even saw them leave. Communication was fast and easy. Check in was easy with a lockbox. It was really nice having a clothes dryer - that was helpful. Our daughters felt at home, and even dubbed the knight holding the fire place tools as Sir. We would recommend this listing and would love to stay again.

Positive: Everything was amazing. The location is absolutely stunning and less than a 5 minute walk to the town centre. There's plenty of room and all of the amenities were great and perfect for a week long stay. The staff were also amazing - if there was any issue they could be contacted and were straight onto it to make sure the stay was as good is it possibly could be. We had 2 families stay here and it was great - nice location with a lovely view of the harbor. The neighborhood was quiet yet an easy walk down a (hilly) dirt path to town (less than 5 minute walk). The kitchen was well appointed, with tons of pots and pans and service for 8. Having a dishwasher and laundry was very convenient. The bedrooms were a good size and each had a bathroom, which was also convenient. To note, one of the rooms only had a half bath (toilet/sink), and the "master" only had a tub, no shower. All of the bedrooms had blackout shades (including for the skylights). This was really appreciated given the long daylight hours in the summer! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to friends.

We couldn’t figure out how to turn on the heat, but the fire place worked wonders, as it was easy to light. There was also plenty of firewood. The kitchen was very well equipped and nice. We had a problem with the bath tub on the first floor, as the drain stop didnt work…. All in all a nice place and the check-in/out was super flexible!

We were a group of 5 ppl but this place can take in 8 ppl for sure. Amazing location + what a view ….. 10mins walk from the town, fabulous restaurants nrby. The cottage was fully stocked with toiletries/ clean towels + linen. All u need to bring (or cook) is food. Lovely kitchen - again with all amenities incldg dishes and cutlery. Loved the wine bottle that was left for us by the host - grtly appreciated the gesture. That indeed was a surprise. The only thing we felt was the toilet (on the 1st floor) - rather the shower cubicle which was extremely tiny. I could manage but any well built 6 ft person will find it claustrophobic. The GF bathroom was with a bathtub. This place is worth every penny when shared by 8 ppl, but is a little on the higher side when shared by 5. We had a fabulous stay is all i can close this post with!

The rooms look just as pictured on the listing and the hosts leave a very helpful tablet which explains the nuances of the home. There is a very spacious kitchen and living area as well as 4 generous sized bedrooms. Additionally, this home is located in a convenient location on Skye itself which makes driving to sight see relatively simple

Online and phone communications with property management were excellent and responsive. The location was very good, short walk to town, and the view was very nice. The house was very clean and the beds comfortable. However, for 7 adults the place was very cramped. It is advertised as 5382 sq.ft. on the website. This home could not be more than 2500 sq.ft. Not sure what they were measuring, maybe the lot. There is not a coffee table or end tables in the living room, so if we were having wine/hors d'ouevres before dinner there was no place to put anything. We ended up pulling one of the benches from the dining table to the living room to set down wine glasses and plates of food if we were gathering there. Then we'd have to put the bench back. The benches and wire chairs in the dining room were uncomfortable for sitting any period of time. The kitchen is big, but has a very small table & 2 high chairs, so people had to eat in dining room if we all wanted to be together. There is no Coffee Maker! You can only make instant coffee, which no one in America drinks. We had to walk to the village every morning if you wanted real coffee. The railing on the steps leading to the kitchen door need to be attended to. They are loose and wobbly.

Positive: Brilliant location, lovely views, lots of space and plenty of bathrooms plus washer and dryer very handy with a family. Negative: We had some minor glitches in the kitchen but the lady looking after us was super responsive and helpful to fix issues. I think the kitchen could do with some more basics for a family stay who might eat in more eg pizza cutter, wooden spoons, we asked for a grater and it was provided however.

We enjoyed our stay in Skye. The house was perfect for a big group - we had our kids and grandparents. Everyone can have their own bathroom and the kitchen was good for cooking. Nice view from the decking.. we just needed the weather to enjoy it more! The steps to the front door are a bit wobbly and slippery. It looks like the owners are about to do some work on them as we could see the building materials. We couldn’t connect to the internet but the lovely manager dropped everything to come and help. Much appreciated!
