Fantastic house with matching view
Beautiful house, so comfortable and cozy .... was very difficult to leave! This is the second time we’ve stayed in a Skye Serviced property and it didn’t disappoint, from Netflix, comfortable beds and quality fixtures throughout to the lovely toiletries and cozy throws, you feel at home as soon as you enter. Will definitely be back.

Perfect in every way
The house easily and very comfortably accommodated seven adults and a baby. The bedrooms were luxurious with high quality beds and bedding… space and wonderful views to the sea. Excellent showers and the open plan living space was fantastic. We loved the decking and even did some yoga there and with three good cooks in the family, we were delighted at the well-equipped kitchen.

A really lovely house!!
Would definitely recommend a stay at Long View, the house has spectacular views and is well equipped and comfortable. The only downside is you are a drive from any pubs or restaurant but we found getting a taxi easy. I would definitely stay there again.

I cannot thank you enough. We used Long View as a base for our first visit to Skye. We were there primarily to take my mother to St Kilda for her 80th Birthday. You made us all feel very welcome. The house was clean and very comfortable. Will definitely be recommending it to all our friends.

Long View is an amazingly stylish yet extremely comfortable property and easily accommodates eight adults. The bedrooms all have stunning views and the kitchen is extremely well equipped. The bathroom towels were lovely and soft - not always the case in some properties! Stein with its amazing old pub is very close and both Portree and Dunvegan are not too far away. Communication with the hosts was excellent. I would unreservedly recommend Long View.

Longview is a wonderful home in Waternish, our favourite part of Skye! It's beautifully designed, floor to ceiling windows to catch the endless views, and a wonderful common area from kitchen and dining room to sitting room with a great wood stove. Wonderful furnishings and amenities. Our family loved it! Skye Service was really good to deal with and we had everything as hoped, including lots of firewood which was handy when we got a winter storm :-)

The accommodation is very large, we were only 2 people but it can 4 bedrooms of which 3 were very large. It’s like a dream house with luxury kitchen, decor, walk-in wardrobes, climate control and of course the very large windows to admire the view! The view is truly spectacular and the place allows light in even on overcast days. It was a joy to cook in the kitchen and to be sat next to the fire in the same room. Fully stocked utensils and pots/pan. The bedrooms all have en-suite bathrooms (bar one) and it’s really so comfortable and homely with board games and books to read a plenty. The field is fantastic and were able to walk up and down it every morning. It is a bit of a drive at night if arriving late as we did, just follow the sat nav and look out for the sign. After a day or so we worked out we were only 10-20 mins drive from local sights (there is a Michelin star restaurant near by, book early!) and actually you can reach most of the sights in Skye fairly easily. I would highly recommend the accommodation for a great holiday in Skye. The comms were fantastic and the team very helpful with our questions

Waternish is a lovely remote part of the Isle of Skye and this very well appointed property has most amazing view from every window. The house is so well insulated that at times we had to open the door. Sufficient firewood was also supplied for the very effective fire. The bedrooms are of a generous size with comfortable beds and linen. All the bedrooms other than the twin room have ensuites. Property is wonderfully clean and all communication was concise. Wi-fi is very fast. The lovely surprise of a decorated xmas tree was unexpected but an absolute delight. I have no hesitation in recommending this property.

One of the nicest, most comfortable Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed in with an amazing view. My only issue was not having booked for a longer period of time. Make sure to reserve the nearby Loch Bay Restaurant weeks in advance - a Michelin star restaurant featuring local seafood. The venison burgers at their neighbor, the Stein Inn are also worth trying. Top tier appliances and features throughout the house and incredibly comfortable beds! Well equipped kitchen and even a small wine cooler!! Very close to the Skyeskins, a traditional tannery and store featuring local products. Also, visit the nearby Skye Weavers to see their products and a demo of how they make them by hand.

Myself and a group of friends booked this place for a small new years getaway. Beautiful house surrounded by amazing views. The house inside was well cleaned, very spacious and had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The little added extras such as the Christmas tree and the bottle of wine on arrival made the house feeling more welcoming and homely. The host was very responsive and easy to get in contact with too. We all had a fantastic stay and would definetly recommend saying here.

Positive: Our stay went smoothly and everything was perfect ! The house was clean at our arrival and had every basic commodity. If I may make a suggestion I would just say that the announcement should give some information on how far away is the nearest supermarket and that the guests will find washing tablets for the laundry and the dish washer, toilet paper for the length of their stay, salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar. This information would avoid unnecessary expenses. I rent this house again with my eyes shut ! Negative: Everything was perfect !!! I have nothing negative to say. Even the further away location is perfectly compensated by the quality of the stay you will have !

Positive: The house is stunning, absolutely beautiful. The area is, however, very remote so make sure you stock up before your arrival. Negative: At this price point there were a few fine details that could be improved (if I’m being fussy), such as the comms which is very corporate and impersonal and the lack of any detailed info on nearest petrol stations, shops, restaurants etc. TV remote, cork screw and number of washing up pods provided was also lacking. But this is feedback to elevate your place to a 10! it’s already a 9.5+

Negative: I am small but my husband is average height and cooker hood got in his way at times but he just had to remember to be aware when using cooker. also there was no key for sliding doors. These are minor things however as we all enjoyed our stay very much.

Stunning, contemporary, attention to detail, sparklingly clean. Overlooking the penninsula with breathtaking panoramic views. My husband and I decided if James Bond was going to be planning his next manœuvers on the Isle of Skye, it would be here, in this amazingly hip location. Accordingly, we referred to it as the James Bond house as we would be reviewing our weekly itinerary. As we pulled into the drive (suitably inconspicuous) and entered the house, we were blown away. It WAS the James Bond house, and so much more! This home is gorgeous, beautifully furnished and appointed in a sleek contemporary style. Everything you could want is in the kitchen. The beds are comfortable and the linens are super. Sparkling clean throughout. Floor-to-ceiling windows open onto a rear deck and provide panoramic ocean and shorefront views. Take what you need, it's a bit isolated. But enjoyed a fabulous evening meal at the local Stein Inn. We will be back!

Negative: Check in was at 4 p.m. Check out at 10 a.m. Was travelling with my wife and my aged parents and we got an hour late checking out. We got 2 telephone calls asking us to vacate. A lady (presumably the staff of the renting company) was polite but hurried us out. I know we were late in checking out but the above felt a bit like being evicted!

We had a lovely three night stay at Longview. The scenery is spectacular & the house is spacious, comfortable & clean. The WiFi network and password were different than what was included in the Airbnb instructions but that was easily sorted. We had shopped at the Coop in Portree on the way in (not a lot of food options in Waternish) and the kitchen had everything we needed. Location was just right for a day trip exploring the nearby (relatively) Trotternish Peninsula and we just happened to be in Waternish when a sheepdog trial was taking place at Waternish Farm. Power and light switches and some of the appliances were not intuitive to us (dryer has a water collector that needs to be emptied to dry effectively, for example) and the video tutorials on the provided tablet are definitely worth watching and explain most everything very well (we figured the dryer out on our own). Careful with the hood over the stove - just the right height to bang your head on. Highly recommend a stay here.

It was a great place to stay. We loved the coziness of the downstairs area. It poured down so the fireplace was delightful to have as we read by the fire.

Wonderful accommodation on the edge of the world
The house in Waternish is amazing! The picture window views out to the view across the water are STUNNING! The house is perfect with everything you need for a stay off the grid and away from it all - log burner with a large TV, bookcase full of books - highly recommend and will definitely be back when we come back to the Isle of Skye!

Amazing Stay
We enjoyed this stay so much that it redefined some of our life goals. The home was amazing and the views were absolutely stunning. The home is immaculately clean and very comfortable, equipped with everything you could need and the accompanying tablet in the home has informative videos to show you how to use all the features. Communication was very clear with the hosts. We loved the area so much we can’t wait to return.

Longview Xmas & Hogmanay
Beautifully presented house with tasteful decoration, lots of space and in general good facilities. We had a wonderful x2 weeks in Longview over Christmas and Hogmanay enjoying the amazing views over the Minch when we weren't out walking the hills. unfortunately when we arrived the satellite TV and remote control wasn't working properly. Our attempts to communicate with agency managing the property were problematic and in the end we just gave up. The shelves in the fridge door were cracked and broken. The only way to make them usable was duct tape. Having x3 ensuite bathrooms is fabulous - they go great with the fluffy towels provided. Just weird that no bath mats were available! In reality these are not major things. The house is really nice and we made allowances for things being fixed given it was Christmas. However at this price range you expect things to be pretty much perfect going. Especially as one assumes all of the above were obvious issues to anyone.

Longview is a beautifully presented, spacious property tastefully decorated with good facilities and wonderful views. We have a genuinely lovely two weeks over Christmas and New Year enjoying having Longview as our base. However at this price range standards are high. Longview and Skye Accommodation came up a little short! It's lovely having 3 bathrooms all supplied with fluffy towels. How strange then to realise no bath mats were provided! The shelves to the fridge doors were broken necessitating the use of duct tape to make them usable. The Satellite TV didn't work and the remote control required 5-6 attempts before executing commands. Contacting John and the team was initially good and we made allowances given it was Xmas. However after frequent messages and a lack of meaningful attempts by them - including turning up when we were out(without asking us to leave a key), then asking us to leave the key and not showing up at all to remedy the issues we gave

We loved Long View, what a beautiful home! So comfortable and well equipped, such amazing location, could not have been more perfect. We cooked together, took walks and went on outings together, and this home house accommodated both private time for each couple as well as plenty of space for shared time. We met local Waternish folks and loved watching as new lambs were born every day! We will all treasure our time together in this gorgeous home. Thanks to our hosts for providing absolutely everything needed for our comfort and enjoyment.

Our trip to Skye was many years in the making due to the pandemic. I had very high expectations and this home did not disappoint! It exceeded them in fact! We comfortably stayed as a family of five (kids age 6 years, 3 years, and 5 months) plus my parents, so 4 adults and three children altogether. We had plenty of space. The home was very comfortable, clean, well kept, and views were AMAZING. Only thing I would have changed was it was a bit of a drive to Portree but Dunvegan has some nice shops and restaurants and is only about a 10 minute drive from the house. Would highly recommend this property to anyone and hope to visit again!

My husband, two teens, and mom had a wonderful stay at Longview for four nights in August 2022. The view was spectacular. There was someone staying in the adjacent rental, but we never saw or heard them. There is a rooster on their other side, so bring earplugs if you don't want to be up at the crack of dawn! The road was quiet and provided lovely walks each evening. For the first two days, it was unseasonably warm, so it would have been nice to have had some lounge chairs outside (there is only a picnic table, but plenty of room for more seating). The kitchen is well stocked with supplies and salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar were provided. We did find there wasn't much space to store unrefrigerated foods, so had to improvise a little. I had thought there was a king size bed in one of the bedrooms, but the larger beds are all queens, so my large husband and I were somewhat cramped. The bathrooms and showers were all wonderful. Several fans were supplied for warm weather. Plenty of closet space was available for clothing. There are lots of books, so not necessary to bring your own. The sofa in the TV room is incredibly big, soft, and comfortable, and I considered sleeping on it more than once! All in all we had a wonderful stay, and would definitely return.
