Amazing place... superb accommodation, spectacular views. Staff extremely helpful and we couldn't be more happy we chose it for our wedding. Thank you all for helping us make it happen at the last minute. We are coming back this year as we all had a fabulous time. :) One slight downside was the fridge - very small for a house where 8 people can stay and shops are 40 mins away :) Highly recommended place and we can't wait to be back :)

Anniversary Trip
With our Greek island trip cancelled we needed an alternative wedding anniversary location. We weren't disappointed. The photos on booking.com showed a picturesque house right on the beach with privacy in a modern, comfortable house. Exactly as advertised! Kitchen has everything you need, all facilities were great and internet was strong enough to stream Netflix ( highly recommend bringing a laptop to HDMI into the telly, standard channels only on the Freeview) . If you forget to shop then Portree is a good 25 minute drive to the East but has a large co-op but Dunvegan (15 mins South) has plenty of small shops and a pubs and restaurants. If you want to get away from the current madness and watch birds dive into the sea from the comfort of your own balcony then 100% this is for you.

Just returned from Skye and we had a superb week. The house (Tigh Bata) was stunning and very comfortable. All made easy in terms of booking, check in / out and a minor issue with the dishwasher (machine not me!) was dealt with immediately by Ben. In these challenging times, holidays are even more precious so making things simple and efficient is appreciated so without reservation (excuse the pun!) I / we recommend Skye Serviced Accommodation. Ben, John and the team will look after you.

Wild and windy
This is a rugged and windswept location! We had a strong wind our first night and it was loud! When it died back a bit it was easier to sleep well. The house is comfortable and warm. The kitchen is well appointed. The woodburner is great and there was plenty of wood. We were a group of 4 couples and the small twin room was definitely the short straw but no complaints. Beds are comfy. There were issues with the patio doors not opening but the weather was wet so we were not too affected. It’s a good base to explore the north of Skye and we enjoyed our time there.

Loved the place and its setting
Very nice setting for walks in the surounding area or just to relax on the lovely decking and just be. All worked really well and we had an amazing time with the family. All cooking amenities were there and in great condition (which is not always the case in a rental place). would highly recommend!

House is set at the most beautiful spot in Isle of Skye, you are literally in the water. The photos do not do justice to truly how beautiful the home and location are. You have the most exceptional panoramic view of the sea and the mountains beyond. The amenities are great, the beds very soft and comfortable. The location is a little far out from the main town, but it’s a beautiful drive nonetheless. And the food around is delectable. It’s a great home and well maintained, and set at the gorgeous location. The hosts are really lovely, thoughtful and very hospitable. Even thought we ended up checking out a little later than expected, they did not rush us out or make us feel uncomfortable. Would definitely visit again :)

Tigh Bata was a highlight of our trip. Three days was not nearly enough. What you need to know: 1. The pictures do not do it justice. 2. It is remote. The nearest convenience market is 20 mins. 3. The water pressure is excellent. 4. The WiFi is not. You are in a remote area. Do not expect miracles. 5. This is the perfect house for families/groups who love spending time together. 6. The management is excellent - from communication to check-in/check-out etc. The house is ideally suited for people who want to see the Waternish and Trotternish peninsulas. Also, anyone who likes peaceful calm. Not about house but - Stein is lovely as are the local art galleries. Lochbay Restaurant is great, but if you don’t mind the drive - Red Roof is flawless. Either way: make reservations.

This is the best location I have had the privilege to stay on my numerous rentals in Syke. The pictures really don't do justice to the proximity to the water and the stunning views. The place is spacious, comfortable with light flooding in from all angles. Plenty of local art and soft furnishings to give you a feeling you belong to the local community. Sit back and relax, watching the ever changing vistas from the any position in this beautiful place. Gannets, Comerants, Buzzards, Otters, Seals, Porpoises and much more visited on a daily basis. Equipped to a decent standard, we didn't find ourselves wanting for anything during our stay. it's not quite as isolated as some of the Skye places I've stayed but it is still very private and tranquil. Would highly recommend this place and will return.

Tigh Bata is a fantastic place if you want something authentically 'Skye'. As with the rest of the island, it is totally unpretentious and wonderfully relaxing. It's quite high up so not necessarily convenient for lots of the things we did (Fairy Pools, Three Chimneys restaurant, gallery tour) but we had a car and the drives are all stunning so it wasn't an issue. There are loads of leaflets in the kitchen with advice on things to do. We had a total power out on the last day of our stay, but the house is well equipped with torches and candles - it was back on by 9pm but we actually rather enjoyed cooking in the dark! Advise swimming in the Fairy Pools (even in November - if you don't mind the week long cold afterwards), it's exhilarating and a bit daft. Perfect break away!

This fantastic home is ideal for a group of friends looking for a getaway on the wonderful Isle of Skye. We travelled to the Island to attend the Loch Bay restaurant which I cannot recommend highly enough and the house is ideally located for those wishing to visit the restaurant as it's a short 10 minute drive to Stein. As for the house itself it offers everything you need and more. Stunning views, modern decor, large kitchen for entertaining and enough seclusion to enjoy your break without bothering the neighbours. Ben the host was very attentive to our needs and the few minor issues that did pop up were very quickly resolved. As others have said WiFi is not great but this was not an issue for us and was not expected in such a rural area. Overall I highly recommend this location if you are looking to visit the idyllic Isle of Skye

We had eight people stay and we were all very comfortable with enough showers and bathrooms to make it easy with so many people. It is remote and you feel you have the area to yourself. We loved it and were sad that we had only booked it for a couple of days, I would recommend spending mush more time there if you can!

This place is wonderful and my only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer. Loved the beautiful views and the comfortable spaces within the house. Great for my family of 6!!! The host response time was mind blowing—every little question or request we had was answered within a few minutes. The Stein Inn was nice and close for lunch, and Portree was around 40 minutes away for more food/grocery, local shopping and beautiful views.

This is a stunningly located house, the communal areas are brilliant, internet not the fastest in the world but then it typically isn’t great in raural areas and it’s not what you come to Skye for is it :-) The house is comfortable, showers fabulous, beds comfortable. I wouldn’t quite bill the house as luxury but the location certainly is and we’d love to stay here again if we come back to Skye. There is a really well stocked games room with a number of DVDs if you wanted to watch them. Lovely house!

The one tiny disadvantage is that you can hear really loudly when people are moving, especially on the upper floor. But this is the only minor flaw to an otherwise perfect house. We would stay at this house again any time and can recommend it 100%

One of the most beautiful places I've had the pleasure of staying at. The views of the Waternish Peninsula all around you is really quite special, and the house itself was both a stylish and comfortable surrounding in which to take in the views after our day exploring the Isle of Skye. The house was spacious, orderly, and had every amenity we needed to make ourselves at home. We will not be forgetting our trip from over the sea to Skye any time soon, and hope to be back sooner than that!

Rarely does an airbnb live up to its pictures but this one was more than anything we had imagined! The house was beautiful and spacious where we weren't short of anything we needed and the views were spectacular. The house is right at the tip of the Waternish peninsula which allowed us to dip our feet into the clean and cold waters and drink to a beautiful sunset. The host also left us some wine which was really sweet and the 5 of us had a really great stay. Highly recommended for people who are driving and looking for a quiet and detached getaway!

Management could have not been more helpful. We are on a 2 month trip around the UK. The Isle of Skye has so far been the highlight. We were able to explore all over Skye during the week we stayed, as well as enjoy watching sunsets from the house and spotting animals and birds through the huge windows - including dolphins and seals! Fantastic location, with a beautiful interior space, everything you need in a kitchen, fire wood for the lovely stove, and a gorgeous view no matter the weather or time. The house is very simple from the outside, but inside it is a luxury space with everything you need for a cosy, luxury stay. We saw sea otters, deer swimming, and had a local fisherman drop us lobsters caught almost in front of the house. Lovely pubs near the house, and a great walk (Waternish point) very close too.

We were a group of 8 people (4 adults, 4 young kids) that stayed for 3 nights. The location of this AirBnB is just stunning, we couldn't believe the views as we drove up. It is such a serene location and we hardly saw any other people around. We managed to see dolphins on a few occasions, seals, ducks, and even a suspected whale! During our trip to Skye, the views from this AirBnB were just as good as anywhere else we saw, so it felt pretty special to be staying in such a great setting. And at sunset time, the views were even better... Moving to the house itself, it is very large, with more than enough space for the 8 of us, and it is very well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed. The space was clean and well maintained. I wouldn't call it a luxury home, some of the fittings were quite cheap for example, but for the most part we couldn't fault it. It is managed by a company rather than an individual owner, but they were always very quick to respond to any queries. Overall, this was a great stay, and we would love to return one day for a longer stay.

Want to get away from it all? Tigh Bata is perfect. The situation is incredible, the views majestic and although not the prettiest outwardly, the inside more than makes up for it. You're a long way away from stuff here. The nearest pub is 3 miles (the tremendous Stein Inn), the nearest small grocery shop in Dunvegan 20 minutes or more away, the nearest supermarket 45 minutes away in Portree. You're also well away from Skye's mountainous highlights - the Trotternish and the Cuillins. Pretty drives wherever you go, though. Come here and self-isolate: light the wood burner and let the rain and wind lash the windows, which it does all too well. Even in June, it turns out. The water pressure is as strong as the wifi is weak. One last thing. Light sleeper? There are no blinds or curtains on the high bedroom windows. More hours of wakefulness to enjoy the scenery, then.

Anniversary Trip
Positive: With our Greek island trip cancelled we needed an alternative wedding anniversary location. We weren't disappointed. The photos on booking.com showed a picturesque house right on the beach with privacy in a modern, comfortable house. Exactly as advertised! Kitchen has everything you need, all facilities were great and internet was strong enough to stream Netflix ( highly recommend bringing a laptop to HDMI into the telly, standard channels only on the Freeview) . If you forget to shop then Portree is a good 25 minute drive to the East but has a large co-op but Dunvegan (15 mins South) has plenty of small shops and a pubs and restaurants. If you want to get away from the current madness and watch birds dive into the sea from the comfort of your own balcony then 100% this is for you. Negative: The wind! Unfortunately they can't pre-book good weather! 😋

Tigh Bata is a fantastic house in an incomparable location. The open plan space is great for communal living and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need to cook while you are there. The house is really well-appointed but the views are so spectacular that all you will want to do is sit and look out on the water. The communication with Skye Serviced was exemplary - they responded very quickly to every query and were professional and efficient throughout. I cannot recommend Tigh Bata highly enough.

A very comfortable property in a special remote location on Skye with stunning views. Being at the end of the earth with the wind and the sea, farms and cows to the side- it was just such a beautiful experience that words can't express it. Positive: We appreciate the property and the stunning views it offers. It is tastefully furnished to a high standard. However, we noticed that the floors on the first floor are quite noisy, which can be bothersome, especially for someone trying to sleep in one of the rooms. I was awakened several times by the sound of my friends walking around on the noisy floor. Negative: The host failed to address any of my inquiries. Despite reaching out with questions prior to check-in, I received no response. Attempts to contact them by phone went unanswered, with no return calls. Upon arrival and during check-in, we encountered difficulties heating the house due to a malfunctioning boiler. Despite further attempts to contact the host, there was still no response. Additionally, there were no instructions or manuals provided to operate the boiler, leaving us to troubleshoot and figure it out ourselves. Even the boiler's control panel was faulty, adding to the challenge of getting it to function properly.
