Perfect accommodation

Where to even start. If your considering this as an option please just go ahead and book you will not be disappointed. From start to finish we had clear, concise and rapid communication and the team really went above and beyond to make it special for my partners birthday (Shout out to Laura who genuinely made this trip incredible and memorable) The apartment is in a perfect location of close to town but still separate and ideal distance from Old Man of Storr and Quiraing. The space is well furnished so it feels like a home not a hotel, the bed is more comfortable then the one I have at home and the bathroom will make you feel like your in a palace. To be honest sometimes we had to remind ourselves to leave the apartment and see Skye because we were just so damn comfortable and cosy. Have used Airbnb across the world but honestly the level of comfort and the service really rockets this to my favourite stay. Have an amazing stay here guys.

First visit to Isle of Skye
We had 4 nights at Dalzie Apartment and we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings but still found it easy to get to places we wanted to see. The accommodation caters for 2 people and it’s good to have a washing machine and tumble drier. The apartment is tastefully decorated and furnished, but as we are elderly people we found the leather sofas a bit difficult and worn. Thank you for having us!

Beautiful setting and lovely accommodation at Dalzie. Great location. Everything we needed for our short stay. Luxurious toiletries and nice gesture of bottle of wine on arrival if that’s your ‘thing’. Slight criticism - there was a slight smell of dampness and the house was very cold (glad we had some blankets in the car). Also, the sofas could be doing with being upgraded. Would definitely choose to stay here again.

Home from Home on Skye
We spent 4 nights in this lovely self catering apartment situated a few miles East of Portree in December. My wife and I found it to be ideally located for access to both our outdoor pursuits as well as the numerous bars and restaurants in Portree for refuelling for the next days activities. The apartment was very comfortable and spacious for two to spend a cozy night in and is well equipped if you prefer to eat in. It provides both a bath and a good shower with complimentary soaps and gels to ease away the days aches and pains and a TV, DVD player and good WiFi for entertainment. A depth of useful and interesting information on where to eat out and what to visit on Skye was also provided both at the apartment and as part of the pre-visit instructions to find the apartment. We look forward to returning hopefully next year. If we were to be hyper critical we would have preferred if the apartment had been preheated for our arrival, that there was lightning directly facing the car parking area to assist whilst loading and unloading our vehicle and that the short entrance track was in better repair.

Has all you need to enjoy self catering - apart from a potato peeler - I know that sounds petty.. but hey, you can't peel things with a piano.... well not easily anyway ... So, to recap: we loved it. Comfy settees (2) and a table between that was a little too far away from both to be comfortably useful. Washer and tumble drier were great and central heating kept us comfortable during or April stay. Very helpful Ben who appeared at a moments notice when we had need of him. Super outside courtyard for a communal gathering of guests. A short drive to Portree where other vacationers hunt down parking spots. And access to all routes half a mile down the side road. What's not to like?!

Feels like Home
A wonderful, well appointed large self contained flat. Felt like home from the moment we arrived. It is both private and impressive. Will 100% return here. Clean, tidy and really tastefully decorated. The bed, mattress and linen were really comfortable. I cooked twice as the kitchen is well provided for with a good range of pots and pans. The owners are unobtrusive and very accommodating. Skye can be an expensive place when it comes to accommodation especially in some of the so called elite establishments. Dalzie is worth the money at just over £200 per night. Thank you Ben for a memorable stay.

A beautiful place to stay about a 5 minute drive outside of Portree. The accomodation had all the facilities we needed to provide us with a comfortable stay, it was clean, spacious and had a bath which was fabulous after a hike in the driving rain. A lovely personal touch of a bottle of white wine left for us on our arrival. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family

Ben's place is amazing. Beautifully furnished and decoration. It reminded me a high end west London flat. It was spotless and extremely spacious and comfortable. The position is great too with beautiful views and a lovely, well-tended courtyard. Considering the weather was so awful during our stay, this comfortable warm flat was a great refuge and real treat.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Dalzie Apartment at Peinmore House for four nights while visiting Skye and had a very enjoyable stay. The apartment is exactly as pictured except it's even bigger in person. We were both amazed at how big it was all just for the two of us. The full kitchen has everything you could need for cooking a full meal or just a simple cup of tea. The bedroom was lovely with a HUGE bed. The bathroom is gigantic with a nice bath and shower. We were visiting during Winter so didn't get to take advantage of the outdoor garden but it was beautiful and the grounds offered plenty of parking. Also, perhaps maybe only novel to this city girl but your next door neighbors are a large sheep pasture which was fun to look out to each morning. Location was just a short drive (5 min) to Portree. Check in and check out were super easy. We never actually met up with anyone in person but Mark was super fast to respond to all communications and provided us with all the information we needed to make a smooth process. The only downside was the washing machine. The washer took almost two hours to wash one load of laundry and there is no timer so we had no way of knowing when it would be finished. Maybe this is standard for machines in the UK but we unfortunately were not aware of this and had three loads to do the evening before we were leaving. Needless to say it was a late night. Just plan accordingly if you are planning on doing any laundry. Overall we had a great stay and I would definitely recommend staying here if you are planning to visit Skye.

Exceeded expectations. From the fresh flowers to quality linen to quality bedding, thick fluffy towels and good toiletries, there was not much more we could ask for. Owners here did not try to cut corners and paid attention to detail. Kitchen had a dishwasher and there was even a washer and dryer. Cosy layout with a piano thrown in (no time to play it though!), peaceful location and overall a great experience.

Kommunikation und Check in mega unkompliziert. Auto wird benötigt weil es ca5 Minuten mit dem Auto bis Portree ist, aber wer kommt schon nach Skye ohne Auto. Insel ist einfach spitze, tolle Gegend, nette Menschen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

About a 15 minute drive to Portree, 1 bedroom in a large house broken up into separate flats. Two of the flats are vacation rentals; it appears at least one is a local long term residence. Parking is not clearly marked, but once found there was ample parking. Courtyard is smaller than posted photos. Lots of beautiful flowers and plants and a lovely little square of grass surrounded by a gravel path. Space inside has dark carpet through out, except for the bathroom. Bathroom is very large and the shower pressure is great. Bedroom has queen size bed and four pillows - 2 are very soft feather and 2 are dense foam. Euro queen size bed was very comfortable. There is ample space for storage with a full dresser and a separate wardrobe. Down hallway is kitchen/living combined area. This is smaller than it appears in the photos. Two leather couches are well warn and sag a bit when sitting, but are otherwise comfortable. Very small dinning table, with seating for 2. There was a large French press; coffee is provided but it was not fresh and both the coffee and sugar had clumps like what happens when one dips wet spoons in the jar. I recommended bringing your own of both. Kitchen is compact but user friendly. There is no view from this property. You must take the trash out around a side building and are asked to take glass to a recycling point in Portree. You are advised not to throw away any glass.

This was probably our favorite accommodation during our two week trip to London, Cotswolds and Skye. Ben the host was very kind and helpful, and great with communications. He checked with us a few times to see if we needed anything. It is in a lovely bucolic area right outside of Portree town, and the apt. is attached to the main house. There is a fantastic well maintained proper garden down a little path below the house, where we lingered one day. The apt. is large for a couple, which was great after staying in hotels in England! The apt is well maintained, has a homey lived-in vibe, washer/dryer, full kitchen, large bathroom, cozy bedroom with nice mattress, always a plus! It was so nice and quiet, we slept so well. If you don't need 5-star, and are comfortable with a well-maintained lived-in, homey setting, this is a great place to visit the lovely island of Skye, as your home base. Ben was so warm and kind, and all was very comfortable.

We had such a great time staying in Dalzie- it is a really wonderful and cosy place to come back to after a day of walking. The bath and shower were particularly excellent, and the piano was an added bonus! There are plenty of dvds and books as well, which was a lovely touch. We can’t recommend it enough!

Really enjoyed this place. Ideal for a couple to get away and enjoy Skye. Great to have the living space for rainy days rather than a hotel, and to enjoy dining in during these strange Covid times. The apartment fit the bill for our 4 night stay perfectly. Would definitely recommend.

The bathroom is beautiful and the kitchen is well stocked with kitchen utensils for cooking. We had no issues checking in and were sent a text message when the accommodation was ready.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights and the accommodation was perfect for what we needed. The house is very cosy and is in a great location for exploring Skye. The bed is very comfortable and we both slept very well while staying here. The house has everything you might need and it’s great that there’s a washer and dryer available- especially if it’s been a wet day. We both looked forward to returning to the house after spending the day exploring and we would definitely stay here again! There was great communication from the hosts and check in was very simple.

This apartment, all around, was incredibly beautiful, peaceful and comfortable...but one element stands out above all...the bed! Oh my word, that is hands down the most comfortable bed we have stayed in ever, even beating the best of our stays at 5-star hotels. I don't know what magic has been worked on that bed, but it was genuinely hard to get out of! For the rest of it though, I am so glad we stayed here that in Portree itself. It's only a 5 minute drive from the centre of town, but at night, I must say, we were so grateful for the peace and quiet of the setting here. It is an apartment in the family home, and it has been prepared so perfectly and lovingly for guests. The garden outside is absolutely gorgeous, and the apartment is furnished and decorated to the highest standard. It had everything anyone would need for a lengthy stay, and we do wish we could have stayed there for longer. We basically felt spoilt during our time there, I've already mentioned the bed, but the bathroom was also luxurious and the open plan living room/kitchen made for some very cosy evenings. Could not recommend enough!

Dalzie apartment, Pienmore House, by Portree, Skye: This accommodation was a delight to stay in. It was in an absolutely splendid location, sitting in it’s own grounds. The place was welcoming on arrival - cosy and clean, not to mention the bottle of good wine waiting for us ! It was pleasing on many different levels - it was a great space to move around or just sit in, easy to settle in; plenty of room in the apartment (the bathroom could have done with it’s own ordinance survey map and the shower was superb). While we already live in a rural part of Scotland, it was quieter than anything we were used to. That was a good thing. As stated, really clean and obviously looked after well and we didn’t find ourselves looking for anything in the kitchen or elsewhere, the place was well equipped and there was lots of useful info in the living room as well. Comfort was not an issue, very happy on that basis, and I will join in with others in the praise of the bed. If you didn’t know what a good nights sleep was, just spend the night here. The accommodation was also a great jumping point for us - any of our destinations in Skye took us 25-35 minutes on average by car. Portree was only 5/6 minutes away. All in all, we were very happy with the whole experience and have no hesitation recommending the Dalzie apartment

Super geeignet als Ausgangspunkt für Tagesausflüge auf Skye. Die Ausstattung ist super, alles war tiptop sauber und in Ordnung! Es gibt ein Klavier, eine DVD-Sammlung, Bücher, TV und zwei sehr bequeme Sofas zum Entspannen im Wohnzimmer. Außerdem eine große Vogelfutterstation im Garten, so dass man wunderbar viele verschiedene Singvögel beobachten kann! Ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt! :-) Negative: An eine Bettdecke für zwei Personen werde ich mich wohl nicht gewöhnen können.... (Das Bett war aber ansonsten sehr bequem!)

Amazing time spent in Portree
We had a wonderful time staying in Dalzie. The apartment was clean and tidy, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well-equipped and caters for most cooking needs. All appliances, including heaters, washer and dryer, worked well and the piano (with scores) was a sweet bonus! The staff were also very quick to respond to any queries we had. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Isle of Skye.

This property is absolutely beautiful and we highly recommend it to anyone wanting a property that is warm, cozy, spacious and so very well equipped for a few days stay. Positive: Das Appartement befindet sich unweit der Stadt Portree, so dass Supermärkte, Restaurants, Bars etc. schnell zu erreichen sind. Es bietet einen guten Startpunkt zur Erkundung von Trotternish, der nördlichsten Halbinsel der Isle of Skye. Das Appartement ist sehr geräumig und sehr gut ausgestattet, so dass man es sich an einem Regentag durchaus gemütlich machen kann. Alles war sehr ordentlich und sauber und als Willkommensgruß gab es sogar eine Flasche Wein. Check in und check out erfolgen digitalisiert. Man bekommt zwar seinen Gastgeber, wenn überhaupt, nur zufällig zu gesicht, wird aber trotzdem digital über alles Notwendige und Wissenswerte informiert. Negative: Für uns ließ das Appartement keine Wünsche offen.

Positive: Optimal location! Very fast response(es) from host. Plenty of space in the flat, which was great as it poured rain for majority of our 3 night stay. Negative: The bed was quite hard. We reached out and host was very fast to respond and bring a mattress topper. Unfortunately it was still quite hard for our liking. Mattress preference is such a personal preference though! My partner and I stayed in Portree for 4 days and loved having the kitchen in this apartment to cook out meals in as finding restaurants in Portree, even in October, was difficult. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage. It was a great location to local hikes all over Isle of Skye, but close to Portree to be able to grab dinner in the evenings. We did have an issue with the oven not working, however we called and the property manager came and fixed the issue. We appreciated her availability and timely response because we were hungry!!! The laundry pods and wine were a great, unexpected touch! The place was comfy and felt like home. It was two of the best nights sleep we had out of our 7 day trip!

Rhoda was so lovely and accommodating. She made the check-in experience even more personal with a fresh loaf of bread she baked for us upon arrival. The cabin is very clean and has a beautiful view, and has all the things you would need. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Positive: Location is great being a short 5 minute drive from Portree and relatively central to the Isle landmarks such as the Old Man of Storr, The Quiraing, and the fairy pools. Lovely little apartment, and the whole place was really warm. It was actually too hot to begin with, although with a simple adjustment on a couple of radiators, we were very happy. The lighting was brilliant, including dimmer switches and lamps everywhere to fulfil anyone's preferences. The bathroom is absolutely huge! 11/10! The bed was very comfortable. The TV has a dvd player and a good selection of movies, including both older and newer releases, for kicking back on the comfy sofa after a long day out. The kitchen was well kitted out and covered the needs of two people comfortably. Also worth noting that the owners have taken the time to create short videos of how to operate appliances and answered FAQ which can be easily accessed on their welcome tablet which is super helpful. They also invite you to ask them directly if need be. All in all a great stay. 9/10😃 Negative: Only very minor things to mention. There weren't any spare towels available, which would be 'a nice to have'. More importantly, there weren't any blankets, but we did fortunately bring our own one, so it wasn't an issue. The only other thing was that the kitchen was rather small, and when cooking, I found it frustrating trying to find enough space. To be fair, the kitchen is exactly as advertised, so I knew what I was getting into beforehand. A great stay overall. 9/10

Instructions fournies sur tout au moyen d’une tablette électronique (laveuse, lave-vaisselle, douche, etc.), ce qui est grandement apprécié. Lit confortable. Aucun contact avec le propriétaire, les clés laissées sur la porte à l’intérieur. Stationnement sur place, proche en voiture de Portree. Accueil chaleureux avec une bouteille de vin ! Y retournerait volontiers !

This adorable property is a perfect location for hikes all over Isle of Skye, and close enough to grab dinner in Portree in the evenings (I suggest getting a reservation in advance!) It was spacious, roomy and the best 2 nights of rest we got on our 7 day trip! The wine and laundry pods were a wonderful touch! We had an issue with the oven, which was quickly resolved by the kind property manager. It was late but she was very helpful and responsive to our issue. I wish we had stayed here longer, as it was my favorite location and favorite place we stayed during our trip. We would return here in a heartbeat!

Fantastic Stay
As we settled in on the first night of our stay, we both said “ we could live here!” Wonderful apartment. Super comfortable and a huge bathroom with wonderful water pressure. Best shower in Scotland! Worth every penny.
