Location was perfect for a family with children. There was a park with playground equipment across the street. Walking access to downtown. Great backyard to play in. Plenty of space in the home.

Spacious, Modern Accommodation
This clean, modern, and well equipped detached villa was ideally located a short walk from a local supermarket and the town centre. Being based in Portree, of course, is an ideal location to explore the whole beautiful island of Skye. It was so helpful to have off-road parking in front of the house, enough for two mid-sized vehicles. At the rear of the house is a small enclosed garden with a useful picnic table, easily accessible from the patio doors in the large open-plan kichen/dining room. And we even had a great wi-fi signal! The downstairs toilet was really welcome, although the en-suite (including walk-in shower) upstairs, and the shared separate toilet and over-bath shower for the two other good-sized bedrooms, were excellent too. At night, after a long day exploring, we found the quietness of the area helped us have a great night's sleep as well! Would have no hesitation in recommending thIs good value accommodation to anyone. We'd love to come back and continue to explore this extraordinarily beautiful island again in the summer months.

Modern property with great amenities in a convenient location
Amazing property in a great location, a perfect hub to travel from and explore Skye! The house itself has been renovated to a very high standard, the fixtures and fittings are well thought out and the space is large enough to accommodate everyone. The bedrooms are of a good size and very comfortable, along with the bathrooms. We did not encounter any issues during the trip and the host was in regular contact to ensure we had everything we needed. Would love to visit again! Thanks

Easy to follow instructions! The house was as it shows in the pictures and has everything that we need during our stay. The location was good too, near to the supermarket 1 min drive and 5 mins walk, and near to most attractions in Skye. We had a lovely stay in the house with the facilities available and easy communication with the reservation manager too.

Spacious accommodation a 15 minute walk to town. It is clean and comfortable perfect for a family or group of friends. Apart from hand wash/hand cream toiletries are not provided so bring your own. The complimentary bottle of wine is a nice touch. Would stay here again.

I would just like to thank the owners of this beautiful accommodation. The house itself was immaculate and has been taken very good care of, beautiful decor, spacious and the beds were beyond comfortable. The location quiet and very family friendly it was perfect for us as we were visiting family in Portree, close enough to walk into the town centre. The owners themselves were also extremely helpful and very nice and easy to deal with, recommending activities for the kids etc Highly recommended, I miss sitting in the garden with my morning coffee and beautiful views already thanks again

Great with kids. Lovely garden. Park across the street. Customer service excellent , had an issue with the hot water and someone came right out to fix it. Easy walk to downtown and super market. Very happy. Recommend and will stay again.

Lovely gestures from the host - switching on the lights for us, boiled the water and a bottle of wine to welcome us! Beds are very comfortable. We found the house to be perfect for us and extremely comfortable. It is roomy, well equipped and in a quiet but very convenient neighborhood. We especially loved having a washer and dryer because we stayed here half way through our trip and needed some clean clothes. We have never stayed anywhere else outside of the US that offered a dryer. We really appreciated the clear instructions about how to use the appliances. Portree is a great central location for exploring beautiful Skye. We highly recommend.

We loved the video welcome and online instructions for the house. The hosts were super responsive when we were challenged with the key box and we appreciated the wine. This house is in a residential neighbourhood and is about 1 km from the centre of Portree. It is downhill all the way to town and uphill all the way back. There is a play park across the street which is noisy during the day. The backyard is lovely even if the weather did not allow us to use it. The house itself is just fabulous. Very clean and comfortable. Nice big well equipped kitchen. Super comfy beds. Thoughtful touches like fresh cut roses and a bottle of wine on arrival. Nice big well appointed living space. Clothes washer and dryer were nice to have. Easy to find and good parking. Well organized host and very helpful and communicative. And of course, the island is amazing!

An ideal stay. The house was actually better than the photos! Every room was beautifully decorated with attention given to details. At first we thought it would be nice to stay far away, removed from everything, but in fact after spending all day away, to have a supermarket and fishmonger down the road was the perfect fit. The house is very well situated to travel to different parts of Skye. The kitchen was very well equipped and perfect for cooking meals and having dinner in after a days hike. The garden was lovely. The host was very quick to respond to any issues or questions we had. We would definitely stay here again.

For me this, one was a little difficult to score when I factor in the price. The house itself was lovely, and the coms were brill. I was disappointed as there was no tea/coffee although they fixed this the next morning it didn’t help as I arrived from a long drive late into the evening. My big bug bear was that the house was very creaky - you could hear every word that was said in other rooms. Appreciate it’s the build and can’t be helped. The en-suite has a constant drip which is surprisingly loud when trying to sleep. Admittedly I did not report this as I was so busy. The location was very peaceful, a pleasant walk into the town and the views lovely. I was also pleasantly surprised to find sheep feeding on the grass opposite each morning. The house is far from “bad” by any stretch (it’s good overall) of the imagination but for the daily price, I’d expect all the little things to be taken care of. The wine was also a lovely a touch and much appreciated.

Positive: Very welcoming decor. A very well stocked kitchen made it very easy to prepare good meals for our family. The beds were really comfortable! It was exceptionally clean. The bottle of white wine on our arrival was a nice touch. Negative: Our only comment is that some of the windows (kitchen and master bath) let in a draft. Positive: The facilities in the apartment were just like the pictures, everything was neat and clean. And there were salt, vinegar and olive oil in the fully-kitted kitchen, which were of great help in a place where there're not many restaurants around the corners. The beds were super comfy. Negative: The only thing that might needs further improvement was probably the insect issues. I encountered several flies, one huge mosquito and 2 spiders in the main room -- which was actually acceptable and understandable for me, but some ppl might find them intimidating.

Positive: Die Wohnung ist wirklich gemütlich und die Küchenausstattung sehr gut! Es gibt zwei Badezimmer und eine Gästetoilette, was bei vier bis fünf Personen viel Wert ist. Bis auf kleine Ausnahmen ist die Lage sehr ruhig mitten in einem Wohngebiet. Negative: Obwohl man ein Stück laufen muss um in den Ort zu kommen ist die Lage für uns völlig in Ordnung gewesen. Da der Berg recht steil ist, darf man aber nicht allzu unfit sein oder braucht ein Auto. Das erfährt man in der Beschreibung nicht. Am letzten Tag hatten wir kein warmes Wasser mehr und mussten kalt duschen. Statt angegebener Schafe, was eine idyllische Lage suggeriert, war der Verkehr morgens sehr laut, wenn die Anwohner zur Arbeit gefahren sind.

Great place to stay! Portree was incredibly busy. The accommodation was large, plenty of space for family, has its own garden and parking spaces. It was clean and well equipped and comfortable. We were pleased to be able to cook our own meals as kitchen had full sized fridge/freezer and full sized cooker. Garden lovely and sunny with garden furniture for an evening drink! Positive: Clean and comfortable and very spacious. Short walk to shops and 15mins into town. Well appointed kitchen and huge lounge. Lovely bottle of wine upon arrival. Negative: The front door was easy to open from the outside but most often was stuck from the inside and hard to get open. Apart from that we really loved the property.

Positive: location n facilities are good. spacious holiday home. Negative: creaking noisy floors throughout the house, extremely annoying if someone walks in the night. en-suite shower not in a working condition. it was freezing cold when we entered, took 4-5 hours to warm up the house. no hair dryer. old spring mattresses in 2 rooms, noisy and very uncomfortable. There should be a safety gate on the 1st floor stairway, as one of the rooms are located next to it, easy to fall down the stairs when you come out of the room, if not careful.

Positive: Great location. Close to town and the grocery store. Ample size for our family of 5. Negative: Kitchen was too cramped. The dining table should be moved down. Not right in the kitchen where people can’t get around. Wish there was access to the dryer from inside the house.

We picked this VRBO for its location. It’s centrally situated for day drives around Skye. It is also ab easy walk into the main shopping and eating areas as well as the food Co-op. It was quite chilly the first night and we couldn’t figure out the thermostat/heat. We quickly got a helpful reply. Someone even came over in the morning to check. My one suggestion is to add a “renter’s binder “ with information about check in/ out, appliance user manuals, Portree restaurants, etc. We were three adults and there was plenty of room

If you are looking to stay in Portree, look no further than this perfect home in a great location! We were able to easily walk into town to explore the area and then come home and relax comfortably. In addition, the owners are incredibly helpful and responsive. An all around lovely spot!

Positive: Casa esattamente come nelle foto, pulita, ordinata con tutto il necessario per avere un soggiorno piacevole.A disposizione avevamo anche il caffè, il tea, il sale, lo zucchero e l'olio .
