Fantastic location. Tastefully decorated with everything we needed. Bathrooms were particularly luxurious which was a treat. We had a minor problem with the TV which Ben promptly tried to rectify. We had a follow up message next day to update us which was appreciated. Then a 'farewell' call which was very thoughtful. (We'll hold you to that skatepark request, ha! ) Will definitely stay again!

It is a very comfortable and quite flat. The views of the harbor are magical. It is a great base to explore the island from, and returning to full kitchen and great living room and dining area are a nice touch.

So inviting, very clean and comfortable. The beds are amazing and had the best sleep! Just a gorgeous setting. The bathrooms are amazing and the waterfall showers were brilliant. We had a wonderful time in Portree. We were completely in awe of the flat and will 100% stay again!

Good position
Good apartment by harbour that could have been excellent with just a few things. Overall space and bedrooms very good but shower in one bedroom soaked the bathroom floor and the light was unsafe as it was an ordinary light bulb above a shower. Hardly any coat hangers in a huge double wardrobe and just 4 miss matched wine glasses. Blind did not stay shut in one bedroom so had to pile cushions up to keep out the light. Daft things that would have made a big difference. Very clean and beds comfy.

Beautiful flat in a perfect location
We spent 4 nights at Bayview and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The accommodation is immaculately clean and has everything you need for a family holiday. The views are amazing and we spent many mornings watching the fishermen set off to sea. Even though the weather wasn’t the best it didn’t spoil our holiday, Skye is a truly magical island come rain or shine and we would highly recommend staying at Bayview. Portree has lots of lovely restaurants and little shops and is a perfect central position for exploring the island and it’s many spectacular walks. We will certainly be back again.

Great accomodation and good location, apartment lovely, clean and very well equipped to high standard, nice bottle of wine was waiting for us which was needed and very welcome after a long drive. A few minor things like some lamp / ceiling bulbs needing replaced and new batteries in remotes needed and one of the bathroom extractor fans didn’t seem to kick in but as we spent most of our time out and about so not an issue for us. Parking at location itself a wee bit challenging as is a very busy working quayside however there is an arrangement for parking about 5 mins away which is fine, the details about this are in the flat along with a parking pass. Overall great experience and would defo visit again / use this accommodation again.

Lovely apartment right on the harbour. Spacious and clean with everything you need. A finesse would be to provide some basic food stuff (salt/pepper/milk) but other than that great base from which to explore Skye

Fabulous Apartment
Bayview is a beautifully appointed apartment idyllically situated right on the harbour at Portree The views are stunning! The apartment is spotlessly clean and well stocked with all appliances, crockery etc that we needed for our trip. Access was easy and advice was provided regarding parking and other amenities. It is than a 5 minute walk from the apartment to the centre of Portree where you will find a Co-op and other useful but basic shops. There is a much larger Co-op store a short drive out of the town on the road to Dunvegan. There are several excellent restaurants in Portree. In March, many, including three on the harbourside next to the apartment, were still closed for the season which we expected but we enjoyed dinners at Chargrill at the Marmalade Hotel, Dulse and Brose at the Bosville and Antlers at the Portree Hotel. Booking in advance always recommended in Portree as restaurants can be very busy whatever the season. We loved our say at Bayview and can't wait to return! Highly recommended!

My husband and I along with another couple stayed one night at this beautiful, updated apartment right on the pier. Both bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs were great, as was the kitchen downstairs with everything we needed. Great views of the harbor right out the windows. Coffee and wine for guests was also a really nice touch.

The host: Ben is a welcoming guest, straightforward and very nice. Season: We stayed for 3 nights during Christmas holidays which is a very calm period of the year in Skye and lovely for a visit. Hôtel vs flat : I have stayed in supposedly the best hotel in Portree during my previous stay, which is nice but not comparable to this much better experience. One coukd consider the booming of AirBnB places in Portree or elsewhere as a threat for local people trying to live on their island, BUT in this particular flat, the work done has clearly improved the place and clearly helps to ensure a tourism respectful of the environment and local people. The flat: If you are looking for a real break in a comfortable, well refurbished, very central (and at the same time slightly remote) and large place in Portree, for 2 couples or a family couple with 2 kids, then you are at the perfect spot! Refurbishment : very qualitative works were conducted to fully refurbish the place, with high standards of confort and quality, however maintaining the spirit of a fisherman’s house. Mattress quality : 30+ cm with a top over-mattress ! Very serious and comfortable beds. Slept like babies. Sound proofing and views: efficient, since you are facing the small harbor, there are fishermen working in the area during day and nights. You can actually enjoy looking at them from the lounge or rooms windows facing the bay without any noise on the inside. It is very lively and you have the feeling to live as the ancients did: with the tides. Heating : very confortable in the living room because of floor heating. And very efficient. Welcoming : bottle of wine, flowers, a nice gift during our stay for Christmas. And Ben advised us nicely on the sites to visit and also restaurants. Congratulations, we’ll come back as soon as possible. Unforgettable memories!

Also fantastic apartment, gigantic fancy bathroom, well equipped kitchen, parking in front of the door step. Host Ben is a super cool guy to talk with, knows everything about the island, Skye is a magical place, and this is the best base to explore. Make sure to stay more than 3 days.

We had an amazing time visiting Skye and Portree was a perfect base, central to access all the main sights. The apartment itself was immaculately clean, stylishly decorated and everything we had hoped for. The view from the apartment is absolutely stunning and we were fortunate enough to enjoy some lovely sunny evenings watching the fishing boats bobbing about. We would certainly recommend staying here and would love to visit again.

We loved our stay in Portree! The apartment is in an ideal location right on the pier overlooking the harbour and within easy walking distance of all the great restaurants. The apartment itself is gorgeous - has recently been refurbished to a high standard - super big, comfy beds, reasonably sized living room and dining, great/well appointed kitchen. We were a group of 4 (2 couples) and it was perfect for us. Would highly recommend for your time in Skye.

Bayview was a wonderful place for us on holiday. We were in Portree for three nights, and the apartment was perfectly located. We were walking distance from just about everything and had wonderful views of the bay. The apartment is beautifully appointed, with heated floors (one of my favorite details!) and lots of amenities. Washer/Dryer, all the kitchen things you'd need, dishwasher, delightful rain-showers in both bathrooms and a huge soaking tub in one. I appreciated that one after a day of hiking Old Man of Storr. SkyeServiced was very quick to respond to questions and very helpful and flexible at checkout.

Bayview is a beautifully appointed apartment idyllically situated on the harbour side at Portree. The views are stunning and the apartment offers very cosy and comfortable accommodation fully serviced with high quality fittings, appliances etc. It is a short five minute walk to the centre of Portree where there are basic but useful shops including a Co-op. There is a bigger Co-op store just out of town on the road to Uig/Dunvegan. There are a number of excellent restaurants in Portree but please do book in advance as they get very busy! We enjoyed Chargrill at the Marmalade Hotel, Dulse and Brose at the Bosville and Antlers at the Portree Hotel. The three restaurants at the harbour side were still closed for the season but they should open again very soon. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Bayview and recommend wholeheartedly.

Absolutely dreamy location with incredible views! For anyone with mobility issues, please note there is a flight of stairs to the unit and another one inside leading to the rooms. Parking is available right in front, but is on a first come first served basis. We didn't have any issues parking at the end of the day, but midday seemed a little busy. Everything was as shown. Only downside is limited parking- hit or miss finding a spot. Free parking was available at church about 1/3 mile away. Only an issue with inclement weather. Otherwise very comfortable with 2 bedrooms both with in-suite. Great place

Positive: Fantastic location. Easy free parking out the front along the dock. Very lovely interior, with lots of great pictures and ornaments decorating around. Everything you need for a group of friends to stay a few nights in Portree to explore Isle of Skye. Full kitchen with stove and oven. Fridge and freezer. Great harbour view from both rooms and the living/dining area. Easily one of the best places I have ever stayed anywhere in the world. Washing machine was a godsend to wash our clothes after days hiking in muddy conditions. Heated floors were very nice too. Negative: Only minor points. But would 100% stay here again. Could do with a few extra towel racks/hanging points in the rooms/bathrooms. Main bedroom bathroom had fantastic bath, but shower design meant a fair bit of spray ended up on the bathroom floor and required soaking up and ringing out the bathroom floor mat a few times afterwards. Might not look as fancy, but some shower curtains would alleviate this.

The Isle of Syke is seriously beautiful but you need to do a lot of driving over pot holed roads. Our host went out of their way to be helpful and we had plenty of room and Netflix to watch at night.

Comfortable accommodations close to everything but expected more for the price. Dishwasher had "out of order" signed taped to it. Had issues with showers in both bathrooms. Smaller bath shower drain was clogged, water overflowed onto floor. When toilet was flushed, water would gush up from shower drain. Larger bath shower spray would drench surrounding floor & walls. Neither shower layout was practical. No towel warmer in larger bathroom. Power was off in portions of the unit the morning of check out. Some lights & switches wouldn't work.

Dat had de host ons niet verteld. toen we melden dat we de machine echt niet aan de praat kregen, deed zij alsof het een gevolg was van de electriciteitspanne die zich voordeed tijdens ons verblijf. 2. electriciteitspanne: de electricien die kwam vond geen oplossing voor de oorzaak van de panne die steeds opnieuw kwam. alles samen kostte ons dat 2h aan een verblijf van amper 41h. 3. de 2e badkamer (van de kleinere slaapkamer) had niet mogen gebruikt worden zei de kuisploeg bij ons vertrek toen we ons beklag deden, maar dat had men ons niet gezegd. bij gebruik was dat ons snel duidelijk geworden waarom niet: de douche liep continu over waardoor de badkamer blank stond. de vochtvlek op het plafond eronder sprak boekdelen. 4. en als je het toilet doortrok borrelde het water in de douche omhoog. 5. de voucher die moest klaarliggen en aangeduid was om van de parking gebruik te maken, was afwezig; 6. te weinig borden. op vraag van de host stuurden we feedback met ons beklag en een vraag voor refund van 20% voor een appartement dat zeer duur was maar teveel gebreken vertoonde: GEEN ENKELE reactie. Skye is zo populair dat het er blijkbaar niet toe doet, ze krijgen het toch verhuurd.

Best Airbnb on Skye
I’ve stayed in over 20 holiday rentals in the past 2 years from all over the US, to London, and Rome. I have to say that the Bayview flat on Quay St. in Portree has been the best ever. The flat is wonderfully decorated, modern kitchen, very clean, comfortable beds, and views beyond your imagination. I would encourage everyone to stay here so long as they don’t keep me from booking my next visit.

Beautiful location and property...but significant issues
This apartment is stunning and so smartly fitted, but we specifically booked a property with two ensuite bathrooms and one of them was non-functioning for the duration of our stay. A plumber appeared to have come, but the issue was not resolved and in fact, the bathroom was left in a worse state than when we arrived. We received no communication, or response to messages. This was such a disappointment because the location on the iconic pier and easy, walkable access to Portree's shops and restaurants was ideal. I expect this was a exception to an otherwise ideal holiday let for visitors, but sadly, our experience was not what it could or should have been.

We can’t wait to go back. The Bayside flat on Quay St. is wonderfully clean, easily accessible, beautifully decorated, and has the best host in Scotland. There are several restaurants and shops just below and minutes to walk to. The windows in the living, dining, and bedrooms overlook the bay where boats, seals, and several types of sea birds can be seen. We would have scheduled more time there if we only knew how wonderful it was. Everyone was so friendly.

Headline Spacious apartment in perfect location with lovely proprietors, but serious issues with heat and hot water caused illness Review content While it was a bit challenging to find this apartment, we were pleased when we finally were able to get it. Cat was very helpful at virtually guiding us to the right door and lockbox. However, we entered into a beautiful apartment at night with no heat and it was about 32 degrees Fahrenheit and raining outside. Cat was sweet and came right over to help us, but unfortunately she didn’t know how to turn it on and we ended up having to sleep the night in the freezing cold. Cat did bring space heaters for us which helped, but my daughter got sick with a cough and cold due to the severe cold temperatures. Someone came the next day and fixed the heat, but that morning, the hot water wasn’t working anywhere in the house. We had to leave without showers (and my daughter feeling ill) and someone came during the day and fixed the hot water. When we arrived back home that afternoon, sweet Cat had left us a sorry note and some gifts to express her remorse for the situation. While we think the world of cat and the quick response to our issues, for the price we were paying, the home should have been heated before we arrived and the proprietor/helper should be more knowledgeable about the property. We are grateful for the kindness, but my daughter is very sick now and we spent an evening freezing and a morning without hot water which is really un

I cannot say enough about this place. It is beautifully put together inside with amazing views out every window. Every place in town is walkable, with some restaurants on the same block. Parking is a little awkward, but not difficult. Space on the pier was hard to find (we had to stop outside and unload bags at first), but it is easy to find a spot within a block of the harbour or plenty of space at the arranged car park (make sure you grab the parking pass from inside first). It was perfect for our family of 4 and we plan to come back again.

My only complaint is the master bedroom shower, while beautiful, get water all over the floor, no matter how careful one is. There are many instruction books for the appliances, but I didn’t see one for the washer/dryer. We would stay here agai in a heartbeat.

We are a family of 3 with a teenager. Enjoyed this little spot very much. Easy walk to everywhere you’ll need to get to and the views of the harbor- well, you are ON the harbor. Bathrooms and kitchen quite nice. We loved our stay.

My family really liked the luxurious feel of this flat right on the harbor. Parking was a little bit of a challenge, but the flat itself was marvelous and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was great, and it was a short walk to a grocery, several restaurants, and shopping. Highly recommend this flat if you are staying in Portree!

Really nice apartment. Well appointed and in the middle of town. Parking options at local church was brilliant as the quay side was a busy place. Hardest part was getting meals — staffing issues make it tough for restaurants. Reservations were for hotel guests only or a couple of weeks in advance. Kitchen was well equipped and take-away fish and chips right up the road.

Loved the location. Spacious unit with modern feel to it. Parking can be tough, but we were able to find parking each day on the dock and didn't need the church parking. We were there in August and the area was very busy.

This place is a beautiful spot smack in the middle of a very busy little town. Perfect for two adult couples. We were lucky and found parking on the busy pier each day. We were surprised by how busy, crowded and touristy Portree is (September) Between the cars, tours buses, cruise ships and foot traffic, we were a little overwhelmed yet I will say the apartment was a quiet oasis. Every single restaurant was full our first night, with lines out the door. We got smart and made dinner reservations for future nights. There are nearby grocery stores and the kitchen is great and nicely equipped if you prefer to cook in. Of note: one of the bathroom showers has only two walls, we couldn't figure out how to keep the water from flooding the floor a bit. Luckily, there was a combo washer/dryer unit in the apartment and we could dry the towels we used to sop up the water.

This flat on the harbor of Portree is as beautiful as it appears in the pictures. Spotlessly clean and perfectly appointed. We did have some issues though in communicating with the management team first before checkin getting our final payment confirmed and later with no television. We were there 4 days when it was raining all the time and not having tv in the evenings was a real minus. Also the problems a previous review had sited on the second bathroom may not have been resolved. My daughter had a terrible time trying to use the shower which consistently flooded the entire floor. Parking was fortunately never an issue in the rain as we were always able to find a spot open out front.

Que dire... C'était tout simplement superbe. A deux doigts d'écrire "parfait". Le positif : tout ! L'endroit en lui même, spacieux, calme, confortable, plutôt bien équipé, très bien situé. La vue sur la baie ! Avec un peu de patience et de chance, vous pourrez même voir des phoques venir prendre leur respiration à la surface (nous en avons vu deux). Portree est une excellent point de chute pour visiter l'Isle de Skye. Aucun souci pour se garer nous avons toujours trouvé de la place juste en bas. Le seul point à surveiller : le lave-linge ! Sachant qu'il y en avait un à dispo nous avons fait nos valises en conséquence. Sauf qu'il a visiblement un souci et le linge pue. On s'en est sorti comme on a pu avec du Febreze mais c'était dommage. Mais ne vous arrêtez surtout pas à ça et foncez les yeux fermés sur cette superbe location. Elle vaut chaque pound dépensé !

Positive: Tout simplement merveilleux. Portree est un parfait point de chute pour visiter l'Isle de Skye : à proximité de tous les sites à voir, et fourni en restaurant en tous genres. Quant à Bayview, les photos ne sont pas trompeuses, l'appartement est vraiment aussi beau et confortable, avec la vue sur la baie pour ne rien gâcher. Avec un peu de patience et chance, nous avons même pu y apercevoir des phoques reprendre leur respiration ! En famille avec mon épouse et nos filles, nous avons apprécié les chambres confortables, avec chacune une salle de bains/toilette. Pas de pression pour l'arrivée, les clés vous attendent dans un coffre sécurisé, les indications sont ultra précises. L'appartement est au bout du quai, au calme. Une superette ouverte de 7h à 23h sauvera quelques repas, sinon le pub local ou le café Arriba (ne pas s'arrêter au nom) vous raviront. Un seul regret, ne pas y avoir passé plus de temps encore (séjour de 3 nuits). Petite ballade sympa à faire en partant de l'appartement pour se rendre sur la plage d'en face et voir le quai tout en couleurs, petite cascade à voir sur le chemin. Negative: Un petit souci de lave linge qui laisse une très mauvaise odeur sur le linge. Signalé au propriétaire pour qu'il fasse le nécessaire. Ne vous arrêtez cependant pas à ça, un coup de Fébrèze à 2€ et tout ira bien. Peu de vaisselle mais pas besoin de plus pour 4. Les infos du Wifi communiquées par mail étaient erronées (signalé également), mais les vraies infos étaient accessibles à l'arrière de la box, donc aucun problème. Il y a un coup de main à prendre pour fermer certains stores capricieux. Ma femme y parvenait sans problème. Je ne regrette pas une £ dépensée dans ce logement de rêve !

Appartement extrêmement bien situé dans Portree, confortable, avec une vue superbe. Notre hôte s’est montré aimable et réactif dans nos échanges. Rien à redire si ce n’est le tarif un peu élevé, quoique correspondant aux standards sur Skye. Merci !
